As the Ward Infinity Impact Accelerator continued to expand its reach across the Washington, DC. metropolitan region, the program faced several marketing and communications challenges that limited visibility and engagement.

Key challenges included: 

 

  • No dedicated marketing or communications team, with outreach managed solely by program leadership and interns

  • Lack of formal marketing systems, SOPs, and campaign workflows

  • Limited digital presence, including inconsistent access and engagement on Linkedin

  • No centralized website to serve as a digital hub for program information and storytelling

  • Low event visibility and limited media exposure

  • ​Minimal brand awareness beyond internal and existing partner networks

Led the development of Ward Infnity’s offcial website in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins University  Communications team—creating a centralized home for program information, events and storytelling.

Supported major program events, including the Cohort Kickoff and Semi-Final Pitch Competition, through coordinated digital promotion and audience outreach.

Partnership Development
& Brand Visibility

Supported strategic partnerships and co-hosted initiatives, including collaborations with DC Startup & Tech Week, expanding regional visibility and cross-platform exposure.

Email Marketing & Newsletter Strategy

Developed and managed email campaigns to support announcements, event promotion,and stakeholder engagement.

Media Exposure & Public Relations Support

Helped secure and amplify earned media visibility, including a feature on Maryland Public Television’s State Circle segment.

Social Media Strategy & Execution

Re-established and managed the program’s LinkedIn presence with consistent content, visualassets, and messaging tailored toinnovation, entrepreneurship, and academic audiences.
